The audio driver allows the operating system to interact with audio devices such as sound cards, speakers, microphones, and headphones. It provides the necessary instructions and protocols for the hardware to process audio signals and convert them into sound that can be heard by the user.
In simpler terms, an audio driver serves as a translator that ensures the proper functioning of audio devices and enables the computer to play and record sound. Without a functioning audio driver, the computer may not be able to produce any audio or experience issues such as distorted sound, no sound output, or poor audio quality.
Audio drivers are typically included with the operating system or provided by the manufacturer of the audio hardware. They may need to be updated periodically to ensure compatibility with the latest software and to address any bugs or performance issues.
An audio driver, also known as a sound driver, is a software component that facilitates communication between the operating system and audio hardware on a computer. It acts as a bridge between the hardware and the software, enabling the computer to produce sound and manage audio-related functions.

For several reasons it is possible that you want to get rid of the AirBeamTV Audio Driver. Not a problem!
Three best practices that will make troubleshooting a less time-consuming:
- The AirBeamTV Audio Driver has not been installed
- You need to turn the volume up on your TV
- The app you are using does not support Screen Mirroring
For the first reason, please follow the instructions on top of the page and manually install the free AirBeamTV Audio Driver.
The second reason sounds simple but sometimes does the trick.
The third reason means that the maker of the app has blocked Screen Mirroring for this specific app. A workaround for this is to download Chrome browser or Firefox browser and stream the content from their website if possible.
